Griffith School at Cool Ridge
Thanks to Drema Crawford, we now have pictures of the Griffith School at Cool Ridge and some of the students in the mid 1940's. The school as it exists is now a church. Thanks again Drema for the pictures and the contribution below:
"I went there myself, grades 1-4 and then they shut it & we had to go to Shady. The school is still there but was converted into a church which is currently in use. I'm attaching some photos my grandmother took of my dad's sister, Margie, with her class, taken in the mid 40s."
I am not very knowledgeable about Cool Ridge, however, many residents of Whitby have told me about it and I welcome any updates that would be provided. This page is a starter and many updates will follow.
