Residents and Homes Listings at Whitby WV

Thanks to Glen Shanks, Joe Cox, the Bragg Family, Bob and Patti Duncan, Bob and Ginny Lilly, Jack and Ray Sisk and many others we now have a working model of who lived where in Whitby during 1939, the late 1940's and 1950's. This would not have been possible without alot of patience on Glens part. Glen and others have explained that within Whitby families often moved in and out. Additionally, a person could move to another house they liked if that house was vacant AND the office approved such a move. Using a street map of Whitby from the 1940's, I have attempted to number each house and then with ALOT of help from Glen, place a name with that house. In short, who lived there? This project is a starter and will develop as others look and point out more names or corrections. I look forward to any and all feedback. Please NOTE: The streets of Whitby were recut in the early 1950's. To the best of my knowledge, this did not result in the removal of any houses. IF it did, let me know! NOTE: Houses 1 through 12 were also referred to as the "Kings Row".
