Phones in Whitby
So, you open a phone book to call a person in Whitby and what do you find? In 1977, you would have seen the image below. This image really is unique for myself as you will see a name and the town the person resides in. Thats it.
Most of the phone books in a metropolitan area would give the full street address but what I see is a town where you knew the person or for that matter you knew someone who knew that person. Its nice to see that even a phone book can tell you a bit about a town.
